T-Mobile G1's RC33 update includes Google Latitude

By keeping close tabs frightening on the positions of your current friends, enemies, the ex-lovers, the Bookies and traders is one of the hottest trends on the mobile space today with products like Loopt, Whrrl and Helio 'bonfire of the companion s position that provides contact-based following a breeze. Now that Google 's entering the game, though, that the business model might start to dry up for everyone else - especially considering that the so-called latitude and technology developed in Android that goes forward and available for any other platform which supports Google Maps.


T-Mobile has announced that latitude will be developed in the G1 starting with the release of maintenance RC33 that 's that gets unwound to customers this week - and yes, granted, it' s the bignè not, but at least we have some new features to play around with. And yes, we promise you won 'virtual keyboards t mention in this post ... er, dangit. Latitude in the video after the break.
